      Two Literacy Interventionists/Coaches

       Elementary

      Deadline:  Friday, September 22, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. (E.O.E.) 

      • Full-Time, Beginning in October of 2017 until August of 2018
      • Potential for Position to Continue into the 2018-19 School Year
      • Successful Experience Teaching & Coaching Literacy in Lower Elementary Grades
      • Michigan Elementary Certified & HQ Teacher (MA in reading preferred) 

      The Two Literacy Interventionists/Coaches will:

      1. Establish a caseload of students based on set criteria.
      2. Utilize and support standards-based, learning targets.
      3. Demonstrate exemplary instructional practices and possess a deep understanding of early literacy theory, differentiation, student engagement, and pedagogy to improve achievement and close gaps between subgroups of students.
      4. Monitor and analyze student growth data and then modify, design, redesign, and customized instruction through a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS).
      5. Use, model, and coach differentiated instructional practices and assessment tools that best promote academic success for all students.
      6. Conduct MTSS with a “growth-mindset” by focusing on evidence-based, teaching practices that guide students’ literacy growth and life-long learning.
      7. Coordinate and implement parent-involvement activities.
      8. Collaborate with staff to best support the Five Components of Reading Instruction and Michigan’s Ten Essential Literacy Practices.
      9. Maintain a variety of records to determine specific student requisites and monitor progress.

      10. Serve as a member of the District ELA TLC Task Force and data teams.

      11. Maintain an inventory of differentiation, intervention, and professional literacy materials.

      12. Communicate with multiple building-level teams, students, and parents.                                                                                                                                                                                                        ___________________________________________________________________________________

      Chartwells School Dining is currently seeking hourly associates to work for the Public Schools of Petoskey. Open positions are:

      • High School Cook Helper (5 ½ hours per day)
      • Food Service Delivery Driver, Server, Stock Duties (6 hours per day)
      • Cashiers at elementary schools (2 hours per day)
      • Sub (hours vary)
      • Alanson Cook Helper (4 ½ hours per day)
