      Literacy Interventionist for Grades K-3rd:  Grant Funded, Section 35a

      • Full-Time Beginning in February of 2017 until June of 2017
      • Potential for Position to Continue into the 2017-18 School Year
      • Successful Experience Teaching Literacy in Lower Elementary Grades
      • Michigan Certified & HQ Elementary Teacher (MA in reading preferred)
      • Non-union position

      The Literacy Interventionist will:

      1. Collaborate with multiple building-level teams and students.
      2. Teach and encourage readers/writers using research-based, effective strategies.
      3. Provide support to students currently below grade level in reading or writing.
      4. Utilize multiple assessments, data, & resources to target specific areas of students’ strengths and needs.
      5. Use & share best-practice resources (including technology) to meet learning targets.
      6. Promote student and family engagement in literacy.
