- Mentor Workshop - Oct. 7, Indian River
- Northwest Michigan Robotics Conference
Goal: to share knowledge, processes, ideas, etc. to help all teams of Northern Michigan (and UP) have a successful season and to expand awareness and interest in a wide range of non FRC technologies.
Many breakout sessions will be hosted throughout the day. Petoskey, as host, will provide some of these sessions – but to be successful, we need other teams to present as well. Presentations need to relate to FIRST goals and may focus on team needs to be an effective FIRST team, but do not necessarily need to be technical in nature. Session topics include (but not limited to) Design, CAD, Mechanical, Electronics, Programming, Drive Team, Scouting, Pneumatics, Marketing, Web Pages, Spirit, PR/outreach, starting FTC or FLL teams, Rookie Season (and common Rookie Mistakes).
- Quick Build - January 13th, 2018
Bring your robot chassis and electronics parts and walk away with a functioning base robot. Veteran students and mentors will be available to assist when you hit a roadblock in the building, wiring, and programming of your chassis for the coming season.
