This program is recommended for students interested in exploring health-related careers of the 21st century. This course is designed to profile an in-depth study of human anatomy and physiology and how it relates to diseases and injuries. The study program will explore and include; healthcare careers, medical terminology, current medical events and problem solving, emergency procedures, biomedical ethics, body systems, health care delivery systems, healthcare information management and technologies associated with diagnostics and treatment. All students participate in volunteer/community service activities. Students are provided the opportunity to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid (American Heart Association) certification.
